Piper's Nursery

Over the last few months we had to channel our inner interior designer to get Piper's nursery ready. We wanted to make sure everything looked great for her, coordinated well with the rest of the house, and didn't break the bank. Let's see how it turned out...

Antique bentwood rocker from the flea market

Antique chest from Ami's great-grandparents (and her college apartment)

Hours and hours of sanding, painting, distressing, and finishing in the garage

Did I mention that it took hours and hours? And hours?

The finished product(s) were worth it. Here's the newly remodeled rocker..

...and chest of drawers.

Beautiful crib courtesy of the Parrish family (and don't forget the custom bedding)

Changing table, baskets, changing pad and mirror

Ready-made bedding is great, but it's just not our style. We searched lots of stores, bought our fabrics, designed the bedding and had a local seamstress create Piper's one-of-a-kind look.

Custom curtains hand-made by Ami (can you see Ty in this picture?)

We really wanted the room to have a neutral base with a few colorful accents

What more could a little girl want?
